A tough Kingston team came into Carrollton tonight with an undefeated record. They were not going to let that record slide without a fight. Kingston came in strong and maintained the pressure Carrollton put on them and took a one point lead after the first thanks to numerous missed opportunities by the Cavs. Carrollton turned up the defensive intensity in the 2nd thanks to the gutty play by Mar’kel Martin who finished the game with 15. Carrollton and Kingston went back and forth in the 3rd with Carrollton executing a play with a few seconds left to go up 6 but Kingston hit a long 3 at the buzzer to pull within 3 points. Carrollton pulled away in the fourth and had a 13 point lead slowly get chipped away as Kingston had to play the foul game against Carrollton. The Cavs held on to get the win and improve to 19-1 to end the regular season. Carrollton goes up against Bullock Creek on Monday to begin their district play at Essexville Garber starting at 5:30.
